Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of Cat 336 excavator to meet production targets
- Safe and efficient operation of 777 Cat haul trucks to meet production targets may also be required
- Conduct pretrip/walkaround safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
- Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company client and legislated safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience operating large track excavator equipment in a surface mining environment
- MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket is required; training and support is provided to obtain or update certificate as needed.
Work Conditions:
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Site based position
