Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Payroll Accounting Associate is primarily responsible for one of the following functions: 1 Accounting maintaining/correcting payroll entries posted to the GL; 2 Direct Deposit: tracking outstanding checks maintaining accurate records for escheatments(3)Over payments; 4 Account Reconciliations and 5 Reporting 6 Invoice payment and other duties as required.


Key Responsibilities:
  • 20 Accounting maintaining/ correcting payroll entries posted to the GL; Complete journal and data entry
  • 20 Direct Deposit setup and issue resolution
  • 20 Research and analysis of overpayments for resolution
  • 20 Metric Reporting
  • 20 Account reconciliations/ Invoice payments
  • Other duties as required

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • Typically reports to a Payroll Supervisor
  • No direct responsibility for supervising others.

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10 of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One to two years of work experience in payroll or accounting.

Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Competencies:
  • Knowledge of Payroll and/or Accounting escheat laws and Banking experience
  • PC proficiency; basic office skills; 10key by touch
  • Knowledge of HRIS SQL TSO
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a flexible team environment
