The Opportunity
Monash Sport has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Sport Governance and Development Manager.
The Sport Governance & Development Manager provides leadership and development of a broad range of Monash Sport programs events and activities with responsibility for supporting our 35 Sporting Clubs with club governance related matters and the delivery of annual affiliation processes. The creation development and delivery of appropriate training programs to equip affiliated Monash sporting club leaders of off campus activities with the knowledge and understanding they need to deliver safe and successful experiences is pivotal to this role.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to team members including developing coaching and mentoring staff managing performance and encouraging excellence and continuous improvements in service delivery. Additionally you will record measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs offered by Monash Sport and make recommendations to management on performance delivery and improvements.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires relevant postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
