    QUALIFICATIONS
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent
    2. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
    3. Familiar with accounting software or Infinite Visions Accounting System preferred
    4. Proficient in computer wordprocessing and Microsoft Office applications and Google.
    5. Experience with automated fund accounting principles and procurement rules
    6. Knowledge of governmental accounting principles preferred
    7. Experience in analyzing financial data and knowledge of working solutions to misdirected funds
    8. Have knowledge skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies
    9. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

    15. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position is held in the highest of confidentiality.
    16. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws district procedures and Board policies including mandatory reporting procedures.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Be responsible for preparation of applications for all federal state and local projects authorized by the Superintendent.
    2. Assist Directors and Principals with research and preparation for all competitive grants.
    3. Maintain contact with the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) in order to keep uptodate of new or changing federal or state programs and regulations.
    4. Be responsible for funds allocations and how same shall be distributed in various categories of the grants budgets.
    5. Recommend such changes of budget allocation and the budget control required by the Arizona Department of Education.
    6. When necessary prepare budget revisions for ADE.
    7. Assist Directors and Principals with grant and revision preparation of applications for all federal and state grants authorized by the Governing Board.
    8. Work under the supervision of the Director of Finance on budget control for all state local and federal programs.
    9. Approve all grant requisitions verify for correct coding and available funding prior to submission to purchasing.
    10. Monitor fiscal documentation and reporting on programs to ensure grant requirements and guidelines are met.
    11. Be to keep and maintain records for reimbursement requests and completion reports for Federal Programs and State Programs.
    12. Review grants prior to submission to ensure appropriate coding narrative and completeness.
    13. Coordinate with departments and interface with ADE representatives to obtain ADE approval on grants.
    14. Upon grant approval obtain internal funding source number.
    15. Prepare and maintain grants listing for the District.
    16. Retain grant files along with all appropriate documentation.
    17. Create and upload internal budget based on grant into accounting software.
    18. Review internal grant budget with Directors/Principals.
    19. Assist with training new Grants Management Specialists and secretaries on required grants management steps.
    20. Generate quarterly Grants Management reports and distribute to the corresponding administrator.
    21. Prepare grant journal entries.
    22. Prepare and submit reimbursement requests.
    23. Prepare and submit completion reports.
    24. Assist with Title I comparability.
    25. Assist Business Manager with answering ADE single audit results.
    26. Assist Business Manager with MOE.
    27. Stay current on training from ADE.
    28. Accounting software core user.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to reach with hands and arms sit stand walk stoop and bend as necessary. The employee maylift carry push pull or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 10 pounds and could occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. The employee will read correspondence and computer screens and use the telephone.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have substantial contact with parents students staff and the public.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    The Grants Management Coordinator reports to the Business Manager. The Grants Management Coordinator will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
    INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLAN:Starting at $40000 annual
    WORK YEAR:12 Months/8 hours
