Research Fellow Priority Populations

About the Position
In this role you will be part of the Priority Populations research team working under the supervision of Professor Kylie Lee. You will contribute to innovative research focused on addressing alcoholrelated harms in Australia with an emphasis on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside some of Australias leading researchers in a supportive collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and disseminate highquality research individually and as part of a team.
  • Develop protocols study timelines and reports for the project.
  • Coordinate research governance matters including ethics approvals and stakeholder engagement.
  • Draft scientific papers conference abstracts and contribute to external research funding proposals.
  • Translate research findings into accessible knowledge for communities and health services.
  • Supervise research staff and higher degree research (HDR) students attached to the project.

About You
You will hold a PhD (or equivalent qualifications) and demonstrate a strong track record of impactful research with priority populations especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You will bring excellent analytical and communication skills a proven ability to manage large studies and experience in securing research funding. Strong organisational and leadership capabilities are essential for success in this role.

Essential Criteria

  • PhD or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong research background in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Highlevel organisational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Evidence of success in securing external research funding.
