Manulife Investment Management also provides investment management services to affiliates retail clients through product offerings of Manulife and John Hancock. The Division manages a broad range of investments including public and private bonds public and private equities mortgages real estate oil and gas infrastructure timberland farmland and asset allocation strategies. The Division has physical presence in key international financial centers including Canada the United States Hong Kong Japan the United Kingdom Australia and South East Asia.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly and quarterly estimated income adjustments which includes review of quarterly financial statements and calculation of the income allocations
Prepare annual audit trueup adjustments for the Alternative Assets as applicable. The calculations are based on the review of audited financial statements . Maintain the auditlog with actual results
Assist in the monthly/quarterly close for IFRS UGAAP NAIC and Tax as applicable
Prepare quarterly account reconciliations and rollforwards for various accounting frameworks
Assist in the planning and annual audit process for both our internal and external auditors. Timely follow up on requests and maintain list of open items as applicable
Provide support/assistance to the Director Managers and other team members on various projects to ensure deliverables are coordinated and issues are resolved in a timely manner
Assist with any additional adhoc requests
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of4 6years in the investment/ insurance industry ideally with experience in partnership accounting
Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate in team/group setting at various levels
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with all levels of the organization.
Attention to detail; and solid analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent PC skills (especially Excel Power BI Essbase and Word).
Motivated selfstarter with ability to multitask completing responsibilities/priorities to meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Accounting designation CPA desired.
Knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP/NAIC in relation to investment accounting and reporting would be an asset
Experience with Ledger systems (i.e. Lawson) as well as knowledge of internal controls & SOX would be helpful.

Salary range is expected to be between
$71550.00 USD $119250.00 USDIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant jobrelated factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
