Job Description

As a member of the leadership team the SVP Quality is responsible for providing clinical and administrative oversight and expertise to the following departments: Quality Infection Prevention and Risk/Safety Management. Other duties include administrative call representing Womans Hospital at various events participation in various organizational committees and performing other duties as assigned according to mission of Womans Hospital.

The following are essential functions for the SVP Quality:

  • Quality Management: Oversees the hospitals quality programs including data collection analysis and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Patient & Workplace Safety: Promotes a culture of safety and implements strategies to reduce patient harm and improve overall patient and workplace safety.
  • Performance Improvement: Leads performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes patient experience and operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures the hospital meets all national state and local regulatory requirements. Leads the hospital preparation and participation in The Joint Commission survey and other similar surveys and inspections.
  • Collaboration: Works with clinicians administrators and other stakeholders to align quality improvement efforts with the hospitals strategic goals.
  • Innovation: Implements evidencebased practices and fosters an environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership: Provides leadership and direction for quality and safety programs and serves as an internal consultant on qualityrelated matters.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and professional experience:

  • Requires Masters degree in a healthcare related field.
  • Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience specific to healthcare quality patient safety risk management and/or insurance.
  • Requires extensive knowledge in all phases of clinical care including nursing clinical practice policies governance evidencebased practice principles patient safety medical staff peer review and quality improvement and metrics.
  • Also requires excellent communication and managerial skills understanding of healthcare finance and human resources computer literacy and relationshipmanagement skills.
