JOB PURPOSE
Senior Account Managers at DEPT Marketing Creative are responsible for leading and overseeing the development and delivery of the daytoday work we deliver for specific client(s). We expect Senior Account Managers to understand their clients needs business goals and develop strong relationships with daytoday client(s). Senior Account Managers represent DEPT to our clients adding value to relationships beyond organizational skills doing a mixture of account management and strategic planning.
Senior Account Managers are focused on exceptional output ensuring that all client requests and deliverables are delivered on brief and to the highest standard. Senior Account Managers are expected to be 3steps ahead and be able to anticipate where opportunities and challenges may arise and plan accordingly to capitalize on or mitigate as appropriate. Senior Account Managers are expected to be comfortable and credible in front of clients.
Candidates must have experience managing teams and complexhighvolume social work streams for brands and be calm and controlled in highpressure situations. We need people who can contribute to big ideas as well as lots of little ones that are framed in a solid strategy grounded in insight and ultimately deliver a tangible ROI for our clients. Most importantly we need a Senior Account Manager to inspire their team and earn the trust and respect of their clients and team.
PROFICIENCY EXPECTATIONS
- CLIENT MANAGEMENT
- Ability to work in partnership with daytoday mid level clients to develop and deliver the work
- Ability to reach out to clients directly when service issues arise
- Ability to develop and present solutions for our clients
- Ability to present work internally and externally; leading clientfacing presentations for daytoday or lower complex work
- Responsible for developing maintaining and running recurring client status reports
- Responsible for being the daytoday relationship holder for the client within DEPT
- Responsible for ensuring the clients best interests are central to all decisionmaking without compromising the agencys values.
- Expected to drive active engagement on client calls and able to field questions on behalf of the team and work
- Expected to be comfortable and credible in front of clients
- Expected to become an expert in the clients landscape and needs
- BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE AND COMPLIANCE
- Ability to manage monitor and reconcile client outofpocket funds
- Ability to identify inefficiencies with the team to Account Lead
- Ability to develop accurate and fair cost estimates for lower complex projects
- Ability to engage in discussions about budget adjustments and strategic investments
- TEAM PARTICIPATION & LEADERSHIP
- Ability to contribute to the development of strategies approaches to briefs and the development of work that leads clients to the next level of their business
- Ability to effectively communicate distilled concise and clear feedback identifying actionable next steps
- Ability to set clear expectations internally and externally
- Ability to draw conclusions and actionable insights from analysis
- Ability to identify collaborate and troubleshoot problems with other disciplines as they arise
- Ability to lead the daytoday tasks with autonomy
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly in response to client needs and unforeseen challenges
- Ability to dissect problems and determine effective courses of action
- Ability to balance risk and opportunity when proposing solutions
- Ability to evaluate work and provide recommendations on how to push the work
- Ability to manage upwards effectively
- Ability to utilize strong communication skills daily understanding the proper channel for the kinds of messages that need to be conveyed and ensuring teams are updated or informed
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously managing your time in order to give all work the proper care and attention necessary to produce strong and successful work
- Responsible for ensuring delivery of work is to the highest possible standard
- Expected to have a thorough understanding of the account(s) daily operations to effectively communicate with both the team and clients
- Expected to have a strong understanding of the daily account needs and effectively managing work streams with a clientfocused approach
- Familiarity with DEPTs service offerings & able to identify any upsell opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years experience in roles servicing clients in a creative agency environment
- Confident working on large client social AORs and agency teams
- Confident working on a highvolume multi service retainer(s) for brands/clients
- Confident working on paid and organic social efforts for brands/clients
- Confident with content production
- Confident working on creator/influencerled projects
- Exceptional client relationship management skills ability to foster strong relationships with direct client(s)
- Excellent project management skills able to identify and recommend efficient ways of working
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; excellent presentation skills
- Advanced problemsolving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to react quickly within a fastpaced environment
- Ability to remain focused under pressure and work under tight deadlines
- Ability to exercise critical thinking identifying evaluating and solving problems related to your clients and workstreams
- Experience working with data preferred

The anticipated salary ranges for this position and subsequent locations are listed below. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience expertise physical location and organizational impact. This is based on a 40hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind were flexible.
