Working as part of a cross functional team you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.
How you will contribute
With the support and guidance of a manager you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ marketing and manufacturing requirements effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelflife testing designing for quality consumer test preparation etc.. You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumerled specifications.

More about this role
What you need to know about this position:
This R&D position is in the NA R&D Ventures team and will be supporting Perfect Snacks innovation pipeline.
This individual will have responsibility for leading the new platform development and innovation pipeline for Perfect Snacks bars. They will provide technical leadership managing projects with high complexity with moderate guidance from his/her manager while collaborating with senior technical colleagues. This individual should have an understanding of the impact of functional ingredients on formula plus other ingredient interactions and processing. The product development activities will cover all phases including benchtop development and scaleup to pilot plant and industrial plant. The individual will work closely with crossfunctional and external partners.

Lead partner and align with crossfunctional partners in Quality Analytical Research Consumer Science and other functions to drive solutions.
Manage relationship with suppliers and leverage their capabilities to advance projects.
Effectively present recommendations to drive influence and gain support from Sr. Management on direction and path forward.
Be able to parallel path several technical solutions and implement/integrate best alternatives to meet project goals. Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Have solid communication skills both written & verbal across region and cultures.
Basic knowledge around understanding and calculating financial impact of any new technologies.
Consumer focused mindset defining consumer desired experiences collaboratively with marketing and bringing ideas to life with iterative prototyping.
Agile and creative mindset thinking outside the box and in possibilities
Developing product bundles that deliver consumer value achieving the consumer desired experience with the best cost/gross profit.
Ability to lead projects in development and commercialization of new products
Strong project management & collaboration skills
Strong problems skills and strategic agility
Can handle complexity influence and present effectively to senior stakeholders and Senior Leadership Team
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Food Science Food/Chemical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Food and/or Food Science
Travel requirements: 1015 travel
Work schedule: This position is based in East Hanover NJ with a hybrid work model offering a mix of onsite andremote flexibility.
Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $73900 to $101650; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience skills education and budget. In addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
