ECE TrainerCoach LOA

UNR Extension is seeking two dedicatedTrainer/Coach professionalsto join our Nevada Ready! PreK Family Child Care Program. The position will be assigned either in Reno or in Las Vegas. As aTrainer/Coach you will provide essential coaching and training to family childcare providers participating in our program helping them implement highquality early childhood education practices. This position is part of the grantfunded Nevada Ready PreK initiative which includes the Spiral Up Academy and CDA training program. Our mission is to enhance the quality of early childhood education throughout Nevada by supporting and developing family childcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train family childcare providers enrolled in the Nevada Ready! PreK program

• Work collaboratively with the program coordinator to develop educational Early Childhood Workforce Development programs

• Design and implement curriculum specifically tailored to family childcare settings

• Conduct onsite coaching visits to support providers in implementing best practices

• Facilitate group training sessions and workshops

• Evaluate provider progress and maintain appropriate documentation

• Contribute to continuous program improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate has background in Early Childhood Education or a related field

• Candidate has previous experience with coaching or professional development in early childhood settings

• Candidate has knowledge of Nevadas early learning guidelines and quality rating systems

Schedule

Expected hours to work per week: 32

*Until December 2025 continued employment after this date is contingent on funding
