Konik is partnering with an engineering client that is looking to add a Process and Project Engineer to their growing team. We are looking for a technically driven Process & Project Engineer with deep expertise in gas turbine systems and catalyst systems to lead the earlystage engineering process design and proposal support for emissions control and acoustical products. This individual will collaborate crossfunctionally with sales estimating design and engineering teams to shape customized solutions for clients in the power and energy sector.
You will be instrumental in developing system layouts process specifications and technical documentation for a wide range of turbinerelated components such as catalyst systems exhaust stacks silencing packages diverter dampers and thermal/acoustical enclosures.
Position Responsibilities
- Spearhead the frontend engineering design and conceptual development of emissions control and acoustical systems for gas turbines.
- Analyze customer specifications and site conditions to guide equipment sizing configuration and cost estimation efforts.
- Prepare and deliver detailed technical proposals including scope definitions performance criteria and exception lists.
- Evaluate and finalize the design of catalyst systems including flow modeling pressure drop analysis and equipment selection.
- Generate and review data sheets in coordination with internal departmentsSales I&C Estimating Drafting and Engineering.
- Source and assess quotations for auxiliary system components including fans skids silencers catalyst media and control elements.
- Serve as the internal technical point of contact during proposal development and project phases.
- Support system commissioning site inspections and troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable codes emissions standards and internal quality guidelines.
- Participate in customer review meetings vendor coordination calls and product improvement initiatives.
- Provide input into R&D activities to enhance the performance reliability and value of the companys product lines.
- Travel occasionally (as project needs dictate) to client sites for reviews testing or field validation.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with exposure to fluid dynamics acoustics and emissions systems.
- 1020 years of professional experience preferably involving gas turbine exhaust SCR/CO catalysts and noise mitigation technologies.
- Indepth understanding of:
- Exhaust system pressure dynamics
- Catalyst sizing and thermal limitations
- Acoustic attenuation principles for turbine equipment
- Environmental emissions controls and compliance criteria
- Advanced Excel skills required (including use of formulas and data analysis tools).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Visual Basic and CFD modeling is beneficialwillingness to learn CFD is strongly encouraged.
- Exceptional problemsolving time management and technical communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to engage clients collaborate with crossfunctional teams and manage shifting project demands.
