Are you a Registered Nurse passionate about education and professional development Hemphill County Hospital District is seeking a dedicated LVN Clinical Educator / RNEC Educator to support and guide the next generation of nurses while enhancing the clinical competencies of our current staff.
The standard hours for this role are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However the position requires flexibility to work occasional 12hour shifts during academic breaks and at least one districtrecognized holiday per year.
Position Summary:
This dualrole position is responsible for:
Instructing and supervising students in the Rural Nursing Education Consortium (RNEC) program through both classroom and clinical experiences.
Designing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff across the Hospital District.
Promoting evidencebased practices and fostering a culture of professional growth and patientcentered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom instruction and handson clinical training for RNEC program students.
Ensure a safe and effective learning environment by identifying risks and adhering to all safety and compliance standards.
Apply evidencebased patientcentered care principles in all teaching and educational activities.
Maintain clear communication and collaboration with patients families staff and providers.
Support student success by fostering effective clinical learning environments across multiple rotation areas including MedSurg ER Swing Bed Clinic Homecare Services and LongTerm Care.
Follow all Frank Phillips College policies and RNEC program requirements.
Remain clinically proficient by working select shifts during extended academic breaks and at least one districtrecognized holiday per year.
Assess the educational needs of nursing staff and deliver effective inservice training mentoring and ongoing professional development.
Evaluate educational program effectiveness and ensure alignment with organizational and accrediting body standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
Associate or diploma in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of 5 years combined nursing experience including at least one year of experience within the past 12 months.
Strong leadership communication and instructional skills.
BLS ACLS PALS and TNCC certifications through the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
Clinical experience in MedSurg ICU Emergency Care LongTerm Care Clinic or Pediatrics.
