Summary
The Private Equity Transactions Assistant supports the paralegals and/or attorneys by maintaining and organizing files preparing documents updating and maintaining databases preparing closing books obtaining information for internal and external sources and performing other administrative tasks.
Location
This position can sit in ourChicagooffice and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Organize documents for attorney review.
Research public records using internal and public websites.
Assist with preparing binders preparing closing books making copies entering data and maintaining files.
Perform database research and data entry.
Assist with corporate closings.
Obtain documents and other information from governmental agencies or public agencies.
Obtain information from accounting timekeeping and attorneys for audit letter responses.
Assist paralegals and attorneys with mailings and filings.
Assist with 83b elections.
Billing and invoice review/ processing.
Signature packets via DocuSign and SimplyAgree.
Other duties.
Desired Skills
Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word Excel Outlook and database experience. Office experience in a law firm environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals attorneys and clients on a regular basis. Excellent organizational and attentiontodetail skills necessary to manage volumes of documents binders letter charts etc. Must have the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education
Bachelors Degree.
Certificates
Paralegal certificate preferred.
Minimum Years of Experience
1 year of demonstrated success working in a fastpaced environment.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment
The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and inoffice work the requirement for which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firms discretion in the future.

The firms expected hiring range for this position is $30.39 $39.50 per hour depending on the candidates geographic market location. Nonexempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws.
The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidates experience skills educational and professional background and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k).
