Synergy a leading Boston commercial realestate firm is hiring multiple Senior Building Engineers to oversee a small portfolio of buildings and equipment within the buildings. As a Senior Building Engineer you will be a key member of our engineering staff performing repairs and maintenance for a portfolio of urbanbased office buildings. This position will report directly to the Portfolio Engineer.
Job Requirements
Oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities related to building operations and equipment within assigned buildings or portfolio.
Monitors low pressure steam boilers and chiller operations.
Troubleshoot and repair building systems including but not limited to heat pumps motors VAVs FPTs AHU.
Handson service and operation of base building mechanical systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical systems and make recommendations to improve building efficiency.
Work with Property Managers to come up with Capex projects and oversee installations of projects.
Work closely with building engineering team to provide insights and expertise for equipment maintenance and repairs.
Monitor and track equipment performance resource utilization and work order completion.
Ability to work independently or with a team to complete tasks as assigned and solve problems as they arise.

Job requirements
Minimum 5 years work experience operating commercial buildings including HVAC electrical plumbing pneumatic controls system EMS and other building mechanical systems.
Trade license or field certification preferred.
Strong mechanical and technical abilities.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook; experience with electronic work order and preventative maintenance systems.
The candidate must have a valid Massachusetts drivers license.
Work Conditions & Essential Physical Characteristics
Work to be performed both inside the property and outside with exposure to weather fumes electrical current and machine noise.
Frequent walking standing bending climbing repetitive use of hands power hand grasping and reaching above and below shoulder level.
Occasional sitting squatting crawling kneeling.
Ability to operate assigned equipment and machinery. May be required to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally weighing up to 75 pounds.
