Purpose:The successful candidate will teach in our Reading Science graduate programs and support work in our Center for Reading Science.
Duties:The School of Education at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for this fulltime position. This is a term contract position (nontenure track). The successful candidate will have a masters degree in reading or a related field with a strong understanding and background in the science of reading. Additionally the successful candidate will have extensive experience teaching reading in an elementary school setting coaching teachers and delivering professional development.
Mount St. Joseph Universitys Reading Science program is an International Dyslexia Association Accredited Plus program with pathways to all levels of IDA certification.
Expectations:The candidate will teach a variety of courses in the graduate Reading Science programs. Additional responsibilities may include:
Requirements include experience preparing practitioners in evidencebased reading practices experience working with diverse students families and schools research publications/presentations and a proven undergraduate and/or graduate teaching record.
