Job Description
THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker you will performlight and heavy manual labor work in the maintenance of state park operations and outdoor recreation within Cowans Gap State Park Complex State Park. You will work independently assist skilled trades workers and function as a lead worker with manual work crews completing routine tasks. You will also use a variety of construction grounds keeping and maintenance equipment. This role requires performing minor repairs routine grounds keeping and custodial duties with considerable selfdirection combined with the ability to review completed work. In addition you will operate a twoway radio and assist park visitors and distribute information in a friendly helpful manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Seasonal fulltime employment
- Work hours are varying shifts dependent on the time of year in a 7day per week operation with a 30minute lunch. You will work weekends holidays and evening shifts.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction;or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
