Group Head of Pricing & Analytics

The opportunity:

We have a great opportunity to join QBE as the Group Head of Pricing. Reporting into the Group CUO you will provide leadership to the Central Pricing and Analytics Team the Divisional Pricing and Analytics Teams will also have a dotted line into you as the Group Head of Pricing. In this role you will drive market leading pricing and analytics operations across the Group.

Your new role

  • Provide strategic input to the GEC and Group Board on pricingrelated topics and lead the ongoing development and of the Groups pricing strategy.
  • Shape lead and inspire a highperforming global central pricing team ensuring alignment with best practices and effective collaboration across regional and divisional teams.
  • Drive global transformational pricing projects from ideation through delivery including business case development funding team mobilization and stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop and oversee pricing tools and technologies to enhance modelling delivery of rates to market and operational efficiency across the Group.
  • Lead the assessment and evolution of the Global Target Operating Model for Pricing ensuring it remains fitforpurpose and supports Group strategic goals.
  • Ensure consistent pricing methodologies minimum standards and regulatory compliance across the Group while testing local application and adherence.
  • Investigate and implement new pricing ideas technologies and external partnerships to maintain competitive advantage and manage evolving risks.
  • Lead QBEs Central Analytics team and coordinate the wider global analytics community aligning efforts to support pricing underwriting and strategic decisionmaking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for pricing initiatives.
  • Enhance global pricing expertise support regional pricing teams promote knowledge sharing and raise QBEs industry profile to attract top talent and influence market perception.

About you

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and implement business strategy driving profitable results.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills including motivating teams and leading change in complex business environments.
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding communication and negotiation skills at all organizational levels.
  • Structured analytical thinker with experience in delivering pricing tools and solutions for marketfacing Underwriters.
  • Extensive experience managing pricing teams within large personal lines SME or specialty insurers with a focus on innovative pricing techniques.
  • Qualified Actuary with a strong track record in delivering profitable outcomes and executing strategic initiatives in a dynamic business environment.

Preferred Knowledge

  • Leadingedge knowledge of industry best practice in pricing
  • Good knowledge of machine learning artificial intelligence and other forms of technological advancements
  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry and the latest pricing techniques and developments
