Job Description

Description

Torch Technologies is looking for a Threat Modeler 5 to support the Aviation and Missile Centers (AvMC) Integrated Defense Planner (IDP) software development lab. This position offers an opportunity to work on missioncritical software for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense Planning capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop verify and validate threat models for inclusion in two governmentowned software products:
    • Common Threat Service (CTS)
    • Rapid Parametric Threat Tool (RiPiTT)
  • Operate in an Agile development environment adapting to evolving program needs


Requirements
  • Masters degree in Computer Science Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 10 years of model development verification and/or validation system design experience including hardware/software integration experience
  • OR Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 12 years of model development verification and/or validation system design experience including hardware/software integration experience
  • Experience analyzing the flight characteristics of missile systems
  • Experience working with intelligence data to anchor threat models to prior observations
  • A current DoD Secret security clearance is required.
  • Modeling and simulation experience supporting DoD customers (e.g. U.S. Army MDA)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be available for onsite support at the IDP Lab during standard business hours when required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Sandia National Laboratorys TAOS modeling software
  • Experience programming in C# TypeScript or Python
  • Ability to operate in an Ubuntu Linux environment
  • Experience with Missile Defense System (MDS) planning
  • Familiarity with C2BMC Defense Designer or similar defense planning systems
  • Understanding of NATO missile defense systems
  • Experience using Git/GitLab
  • Familiarity with Agile/Sc
