POSITION TITLE: K ClassroomTeacher Support
FLSA: Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet certification requirements
REPORTS TO:Principal and/or other Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: New teachers 193 days; returning teachers 188 days with benefits provided.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide support to two K classrooms
Implementa variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives.
Assist with behavior management.
Train on the job to be able to sub as needed in the K classroom.
Assist with all aspects of classroom instructional management.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Abide by ethics statutes school board policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
- Maintain accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulation.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Remain current on instructional practices in education. (e.g. instructional technology)
- As assigned by the ministry.
