Job Description
Lincoln Elementary
1.0 FTE NonContinuing Contract
DESCRIPTION: Elementary School Art Specialist. Work with the principal District Art Team and other visual arts specialists to plan and provide comprehensive visual art instruction to students. Communicate with building staff and parents regarding program options plans and student progress. Attend building/district meetings and conferences as required. Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Washington State Certification with appropriate Visual Art endorsement or K8 endorsement with experience teaching art. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Ability to instruct all levels of content areas assigned. Ability to work with students dealing with special needs/learning differences. Demonstrate interpersonal relations organization communication and problem solving skills. Understand the social/emotional needs of students. Skilled in the use of technology as an instructional and management tool. Ability to work in a noisy and crowded environment. Ability to work in a cooperative situation and as a team player. Requires prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this job.
