Why this role matters:
The Post Doctoral Fellow(s) will contribute to the development of a mood disorders research team at UNSW and based at the Black Dog Institute. The team will focus on early intervention in mood disorders (particularly bipolar disorder) as well as phenotyping and a better understanding of the subgroups within the broad group of conditions referred to as Mood disorders.
Proposed projects include a) optimisation of a multicomponent model of care for bipolar disorder b) evaluating the use of digital data to improve phenotyping and prediction of mood disorders and c) developing tailored treatments for mood disorders. In addition there will be opportunities to develop refine and test novel ideas broadly within mood disorders research. The Post Doctoral Fellow is expected to carry out independent and/or teambased research within the field and to carry out activities to develop their research expertise relevant to mental health and interventions for mood disorders.
