The opportunity
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of civil and structural engineering Join Hitachi Energy as a Project Technical Engineering Specialist and be at the forefront of innovative engineering solutions. In this role youll coordinate and execute engineering projects ranging from Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) to Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) projects. Your expertise will drive project safety cost efficiency quality and reliability. How youll make an impact
Introduce and promote innovative costsaving ideas during proposal efforts.
Assess and evaluate existing equipment and structures in brownfield substation projects.
Validate construction subcontractor bids and negotiate subcontracts.
Prepare and support the of engineering activities with a focus on ontime delivery and quality.
Develop design criteria and document deliverables for projects.
Provide engineering support in areas such as grading drainage foundation design and equipment specifications.
Resolve design issues and ensure compliance with national and local codes.
Perform technical reviews of design packages and support construction and field engineering.
Your background
Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering.
Proficiency in engineering design software and tools.
Strong knowledge of applicable standards and codes.
Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
