Job Description
Division: Group Technology Services (GTS)
You will be part of the Enterprise System Monitoring team as a Senior IT Monitoring System Engineer. This team is within the Production Tribe of the Euroclear Group Technology Services division. The team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the core Production Monitoring infrastructure and its integration with local monitoring tools.
Role
As an Senior IT Monitoring System Engineer for Enterprise System Management your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the daily followup of the monitoring infrastructure
- Participating in the DaytoDay service support (incident alerts changes
- Implementing monitoring scenarios/rules/dashboards according to initial enduser and technical specialist requirements
- Developing architecture design and document of monitoring solutions
- Developing effective relationships with other key IT experts
- Gradually becoming a specialist in one or several products
- Integrating WatchDuty role and support WeekEnd releases and interventions
In this role you will liaise with system engineering teams across various platforms (Linux Windows Mainframe Cloud platforms to understand their monitoring needs and enhance the existing infrastructure.
Your profile
- Hold a masters degree in computer science or equivalent through experience
- Demonstrate a proven interest in monitoring tools and Enterprise System Management solutions
- Have at least five years of expertise with products like Tivoli Monitoring IBM Netcool Omnibus Splunk Cribl Dynatrace or other monitoring solutions
- Appreciate technical challenges while considering customer needs and requirements
- Exhibit curiosity openness to discussions and willingness to engage in technical implementations across a broad range of technologies and solutions
- Be methodical wellstructured and proactive
- Embrace new technologies and products while sharing current expertise with team members
- Be a team player who values teamwork but can work independently
- Be open to change and evolution
- Have working experience in an Agile context
- Capable of meeting strict deadlines and handling complex situations
- Knowledgeable in Windows and Linux operating systems
- Possess strong skills in scripting languages such as Python Ansible shell and PowerShell
- Fluent in English
