The Position

Are you experienced in an Early Learning Centre setting with a knack for establishing creative and fun learning environments and stimulating experiences for young children

We seeking a part time ELC CoEducator to commence ASAP. This role is from 9.00am 2.00pm Monday Friday 5 days per week).

The Early Learning Centre CoEducators provide support to teachers with classroom set up and providing service and assistance to the classroom teacher in achieving the learning outcomes related to the various learning activities as planned.

All key responsibilities are based on the National Law and Regulations the Principles Practices and Outcomes detailed in the VEYLDF EYLF and the NQF Quality Areas Standards and Elements. All Trintiy Grammar School ELC CoEducators are expected to have a working knowledge of these documents which should underpin their pedagogy and together with the Trintiy Grammar School ELC philosophy directly reflect their relationship with children families and colleagues.

Criteria:

  • Excellence in engaging with children and providing stimulating nurturing and creative learning environments and experiences.
  • Previous experience providing high level care of children.
  • The desire to work harmoniously as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An active interest in and commitment to the education of young children.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current theory and research relating to Early Years Education.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of National Quality Standards.
  • Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and assist in assessments and observations of student learning.
  • Provide support for each childs health and wellbeing needs.

Qualifications/Training:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood or equivalent Early Childhood qualifications.
  • Holds and maintains current First Aid certificate.
  • A current Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Understanding and experience of International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program and Reggio Emilia Philosophy
  • Understanding and experience of the approved learning frameworks for Australia (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLDF)
  • Understanding and experiences regarding National Quality Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
