Job Description

Amazon Advertising seeks a Financial Analyst to be a strategic business partner to the Advertising Technology Sales team. We are looking for a top analytical mind to develop a deep understanding of Ad Technology (AdTech) and Sales generate insights for senior leaders into key performance indicators and measure the impact of the AdTech Sales team on Amazons Demand Side Platform business. This role will work closely with Sales and Product teams to evaluate and determine the longterm strategy to maximize longterm free cash flow.

This role requires an individual with a keen attention to detail excellent analytical abilities and strong interpersonal skills to partner with Sales Analytics Product and Finance teams. The successful candidate will be a selfstarter comfortable with ambiguity and excel in a fastpaced environment.


Key job responsibilities
Build iterate and automate financial reports metrics and scorecards to support Weekly Monthly and Quarterly Business reviews.
Analyze key performance indicators to generate actionable insights for the business and drive incremental longterm free cash flow.
Develop quantitative models forecast risks and opportunities to our operating plan and measure sales contribution to the business.
Ensure accuracy of all business & financial reporting and coordinate with other stakeholder teams including Product Accounting and partner Finance teams.
Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management data gathering and analysis problem solving and clear communication of insights and recommendations.
Streamline finance and business team operations via process simplification and automation.

A day in the life
In this role you will collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders from Sales Product and Finance on key performance indicator analysis to generate actionable insights. You will leverage strong verbal and written communication skills to share insights with stakeholders of varying levels from sales representatives to senior leadership. This position operates in a fastpaced and ambiguous environment.

About the team
AdTech Sales is comprised of sales professionals focused on developing strategic partnerships and driving adoption of Amazon Advertising technology products across advertising agencies and enterprise clients. AdTech Sales specializes in selling Amazon Advertising technology including our DSP APIs and cloud products. Our finance team provides financial modeling and analysis to help AdTech Sales determine and execute strategy to maximize Amazons longterm free cash flow.

1 years of finance experience
Experience in Excel (macros index conditional list arrays pivots lookups)
Experience problem solving and root cause analysis
Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning forecasting and reporting
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field

Experience with SQL
Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
Experience summarizing and communicating important data
Experience using databases with a largescale data set

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
