An established and rapidly growing Aerospace and defense technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth within its expanding Space Systems division. This individual will be responsible for identifying and securing strategic opportunities across military and commercial markets serving as a bridge between customer needs and advanced control system solutions.

Own and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities across the full lifecycle (from identification to closure)
Build and maintain strong relationships with key defense and aerospace customers
Lead proposal development efforts in collaboration with technical and contracts teams
Act as capture manager for key pursuits and help codevelop business cases for new products
Conduct market research trend analysis and customer intelligence to guide pursuit strategies
Support the of NDAs PIAs RFPs and RFQs in coordination with contracts administration
Collaborate with engineering and operations to align internal capabilities with customer needs
Develop trip reports engagement summaries and feedback loops to improve customer experience
Represent the company at industry events trade shows and strategic customer meetings
Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Engineering or Finance
5 years of business development experience in the aerospace and/or defense industries
Strong understanding of government procurement including FAR/DFAR and ITAR compliance
Proven track record of winning programs and expanding customer portfolios
Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication presentation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work seamlessly across functions
U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of government contracts
A hybrid work setting between theoffice and the shop floor for handson customer interaction
Travel across the U.S. and internationally 3050
