Job Description
Job Title: Residential Driver (CDL)
Location: Peoria IL
Pay: $24 $26/hour
We re looking for a skilled and safetyconscious Residential Driver to join our team! If youre passionate about being on the road committed to safety and ready to make a difference in your community we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate sideload or rearload trucks on residential waste or recycling routes
- Collect and load waste or recyclables from curbsides/backdoors into the truck
- Use onboard equipment to compact material and keep your vehicle running smoothly
- Perform daily pretrip/posttrip inspections and maintain required documentation
- Communicate with mechanics and supervisors about any vehicle issues
- Uphold route standards and ensure all safety protocols are followed
- Interact with customers and the public in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with managing a Helper if assigned
- Attend safety meetings and occasionally work overtime as needed
- Valid Commercial Driver s License (CDL)
- 1 year of commercial driving
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to drive and load when required
