Job Description

Start Date:September 2025.

Location: Greenwich.

Employment Type:FullTime FixedTerm (Until the End of the Academic Year with the Potential for a Permanent Role).

The Opportunity

A welcoming and wellrespected primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community that values highquality teaching inclusivity and student development. The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

The position is offered on a fixedterm contract until the end of the academic year with the opportunity for it to become a permanent role. The school is keen to arrange a trial shift this week for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 4.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing targeted support and feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues support staff and parents to enhance pupil learning.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic performance.
  • Contribute to school life including attending meetings training and extracurricular activities.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in KS2 ideally within Year 4.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and collaborative working.
