Job Description
An engaging and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher with a passion for Geography is required to join an Outstanding Mixed school in Barnet. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the diversity of our planet and the interconnectedness of human and physical environments.
Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver captivating Humanities Teacher lessons primarily focusing on Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts.
- Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages geographical inquiry critical thinking about global issues and fieldwork.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Humanities (Geography) providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities with a strong emphasis on Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts processes and contemporary issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of making geography relevant and engaging for students.
