Job Description
Salary: Competitive
Contract: Full time permanent
Are you passionate about features and opinion articles multimedia and infographics Were seeking a Senior Features Editor who will work closely with our section editors to improve content at all stages of workflow to help reinforce The Pharmaceutical Journals position as one of the leading publications serving pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences.
Requirements:
- At least three years of experience in journalism preferably in a healthrelated field
- Undergraduate degree preferably in science pharmacy or medicine
- Strong awareness of current issues and of what makes a good feature.
- Capable of coming up with ideas and developing them. Commissioning experience is crucial.
- Well organised.
- Excellent communication and decisionmaking skills.
- A strong wish to keep the profession informed of clinical developments.
- Ability to manage a team of people including freelancers.
- Possess a methodical approach to work yet able to work to tight deadlines.
- Proven writing ability.
The Team
The Senior Features Editor will join our sixstrong news and views team who work closely together to break exclusive news conduct indepth investigations and showcase opinions that challenge and inspire change. We do this through both written and multimedia content including podcasts and interactive infographics. The Senior Features Editor will also work closely with colleagues in our learning and production teams to deliver relevant and accurate content to readers in a timely manner.
How we are currently working
RPS supports and works in a hybrid way which means you will be able to work from home however there will be an expectation for collaborative facetoface working on average and typically this may be something between 48 working days per month at our London Office.
