Job Description
Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the fabrication of parts according to
work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up works properly and conforms
with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality quantity and efficiency
standards.
Operate one or more nonCNC controlled production machines to include but not limited to lathes
horizontal and vertical mills saws tape cutters etc. Many duties also involve manual work and/or
assembly duties that require the use of various hand tools paint accessories drills etc.
Essential Job Functions
Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment:
o Operates tools according to instructions specifications and standard charts.
o Places and secures work pieces in proper machine table holding device or other appropriate
surface using clamps and wrenches.
o Load operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make
custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blueprints
o Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand
tools paint accessories and mechanical devices
o Complete work order paperwork
o Perform inprocess inspection according to standard procedures
o Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required
o Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the
department
o Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication
o Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications and Competencies
Perform work independently with minimal defects
Communicate with supervisor on work order priority
Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts
Very good math skills
Ability to understand drawing and blueprints
Ability to use basic measuring instruments
Excellent problemsolving skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Must be able to work overtime as needed
Education and Experience
A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on vocational or jobrelated course
work/training or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience
in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The
employee is may be required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly
required to stand; walk and use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee must frequently lift
and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to
adjust focus.
The work environment is typical of most shop environments; not climate controlled and subject to
outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are
distracting.
