Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Design and Development:
o Design develop and maintain database architecture in alignment with
organizational needs.
o Create and optimize stored procedures functions and triggers for business
logic implementation.
2. Database Performance Optimization:
o Monitor database performance and implement strategies for optimization.
o Conduct performance tuning and query optimization to improve
responsiveness.
3. Database Maintenance and Security:
o Perform regular database backups recovery and maintenance tasks.
o Ensure database security by implementing access controls and encryption
standards.
4. Collaboration:
o Work closely with application developers system administrators and
business analysts to meet project requirements.
o Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate databases with IT
systems and applications.
5. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
o Identify and resolve database issues ensuring minimal downtime.
o Provide support for databaserelated queries and issues reported by
stakeholders.
6. Documentation:
o Maintain uptodate documentation of database systems architecture and
processes.
o Prepare technical reports and operational manuals.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience as a DBA or Database Developer in the IT/Telecom sector.
Proficiency in database management systems (e.g. Oracle SQL Server MySQL
PostgreSQL).
Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization techniques.
Expertise in SQL programming and query optimization.
Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
Knowledge of database security and backup/recovery methodologies.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
