Role: FullStack Java Developer
Location: Austin TX (Day1 Onsite)
We are looking to hire a fullstack Java developer with 8 years of handson development experience. The developer will be working in a dynamic fast paced and mission driven project providing them an opportunity to further learn and enhance their skills while feeling proud of the social mission they support. An eligible candidate must have the following skills:
- In depth experience designing and working with ntier architectures (UI business logic layer data access layer) as well as experience in distributed architectures using integration hubs such as Data Power Mule or any ESBs
- Strong skills (Spring MVC Spring Boot Spring data SpringCore Spring transactions etc. on J2EE Framework and internals of the architecture including JSP EJB servlets JNDI JDBC JMS JTA transaction services logging (Log4J) thread management and development of asynchronous java processes
- Experience in developing REST and SOAP services using JAXWS/RS and/or Spring framework.
- Experience in building multi module projects compiling building and packaging the source code into Jars Wars & EARs and deploying them in Application Servers (WebSphere Jboss etc.
- Experience with TypeScript or EcmaScript(ES6 or latest should be fine)
- Experience in handling Style with either CSS or SCSS or BootStrap or similar
- Frontend development experience preference to candidates with React or Angular and
- Experience in Writing Unit Test Cases with Jest Enzyme or Mocha
- Demonstrates handson experience with relational databases (such as Oracle or similar) and display a good understanding of database principles/SQL beyond just data access
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and/or technology
- Must have done handson development in most recent projects.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral and ability to smoothly interact with development team leadership and clients
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Candidate should be a selfmotivated independent detail oriented and a teamplayer
A strong candidate would also be able to demonstrate their competency in the below areas:
- Experience in understanding security measures and how to implement them (e.g. SQL injections cookies etc.
- Mentor junior staff and lead technical designs
- Ability to perform code reviews and recommend automated review tools for the project
- Ability to collaborate with the product engineering and business teams to understand the requirements that will form the core foundation for all the future products
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing complex environment
- Passionate about building highquality systems with software implementation best practices
- Project experience in working with Agile processes
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and use of application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA JAMA etc.
