Job Description

The work location of this role is remote meaning it will be performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval. 

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist for our APAC region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HRIS connectivity to Payroll (PR) a deep knowledge of EndtoEnd (E2E) payroll processes exceptional skills in data management technical proficiency in payroll systems and a strong ability to audit and validate payroll data. Additionally this role requires a high level of policy and statutory knowledge advanced Excel skills effective communication and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with crossfunctional partners and vendors as well as ensuring efficient planning organization and decisionmaking in all payrollrelated activities.

Responsibilities: 

Payroll Processing: 

  • Manage the endtoend payroll process for APAC employees including data input validation and finalizing payroll runs. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly bimonthly or weekly payroll runs for APAC region. 
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with local laws and company policies. 

Compliance and Taxation: 

  • Stay updated on payrollrelated laws and regulations in APAC ensuring full compliance with local and international requirements. 
  • Manage tax filings withholdings and reporting for multiple jurisdictions within APAC. 
  • Handle any inquiries or audits related to payroll taxes working closely with local authorities as needed. 

Data Management: 

  • Maintain and update employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy. 
  • Handle any payroll adjustments such as bonuses overtime and deductions. 
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data including employee benefits and pension contributions. 

Employee Support: 

  • Act as a point of contact for employee payrollrelated inquiries. 
  • Assist employees with payrollrelated issues and concerns ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with HR to resolve any discrepancies or concerns promptly. 

Vendor Management: 

  • Collaborate with payroll service providers and external partners to ensure seamless payroll operations. 

Process Improvement: 

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy within the payroll function. 
  • Assist in the implementation of new payroll software or systems. 

Audit and Compliance: 

  • Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll ensuring documentation and compliance are maintained. 
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. 

CrossFunctional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with HR Finance and Legal teams to ensure alignment on payroll processes and policies. 
  • Participate in projects related to payroll system upgrades process enhancements and integration with other systems. 

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of experience in APAC Payroll processing experience across multiple countries (Australia China Hong Kong India Japan Malaysia and Singapore). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in proactive communication with stakeholders 
  • Knowledge & understanding of international equity programs and international mobility considerations 
  • Ability to communicatewith proven experience of working with both internal and external customers 
  • Ability to track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Ability in working in cross functional teams to meet project deadlines 
  • Ability to be detail orientated focused on accuracy and proactive 
  • Ability in organizationalskills meticulousnessandtheabilityto work underpressure 
  • Analytical and highly organized with ability to work within tight deadlines 
  • Ability to in Workday or another HCM Tool Service Now or another CRM tool 
  • Experience in ADP Streamline tool SAP or another large Payroll tool
