Job Description

As the Director of Business Development you will oversee and manage the sales operations for the companys food manufacturing division. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets managing key customer relationships and working with internal departments such as production marketing and logistics to ensure product availability and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Including the following but not limited to:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies for food products across various channels (B2B retail distribution).
    • Monitor market trends customer preferences regulations in food production and competitive activity to refine sales approaches.
    • Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs in line with the companys goals.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas of opportunity and implement necessary adjustments.
    • Build and maintain strong longterm relationships with clients distributors wholesalers and retailers.
    • Handle key account management including contract negotiations pricing and delivery terms.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or concerns that arise.
    • Recruit and onboard new sales team members.
    • Lead coach and mentor the sales team to meet or exceed sales objectives.
    • Prepare reports on sales performance market trends and sales forecasts for senior management.
    • Understand the food manufacturing process to communicate value to customers.
    • Align sales strategies with marketing promotional efforts and campaigns.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food manufacturing industry.
    • Attend industry trade shows conferences and networking events to promote the companys products.  

Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business Sales Marketing or related field. A degree in Food Science or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 57 years of experience in sales with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of food manufacturing processes safety regulations and industry standards. Familiarity with distribution networks retail markets and food service sales.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Analytical skills to evaluate sales data and market trends.
    • Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools.
    • Customerfocused mindset.
    • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
    • Resultsoriented and selfdriven.
    • Strategic thinking with a handson approach.
  • Pedone Pinsa will provide resources and support relevant to the position for education and training as needed.  It is the employees responsibility to seek approval schedule and participate in education and/or training that will prepare him/her for present and future needs. A post training recap may be required.
