Job description
As the Desktop Engineer your primary responsibilities will include handon development standardization and management of desktop infrastructure including hardware software images updates and drivers along with overseeing the desktop infrustructure. The Desktop Engineer must have a approach and will drive improvements to overall desktop infrastructure. This Desktop Engineer will take responsibility and ownership of the daily and longterm strategic management of software and technologyrelated hardware within the organization
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement plans for desktop platform optimization and standardization.
- Manage SCCM and JAMF infrastructure ensuring installation configuration and maintenance.
- Create application deployment objects for software.
- Communicate with support teams for issue resolution and workstation management.
- Provide 3rd level desktop platform support and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and strategy development.
- Coordinate critical updates and support the Windows Servicing Model.
- Monitor SCCM and JAMF platform health addressing issues and maintaining client health.
- Package troubleshoot and support application installations.
- Oversee operating system deployment updates and maintenance.
- Manage incident and service requests resolving or reassigning.
- Collaborate with support teams to determine causes of issues.
- Provide technical assistance and support to clients.
- Use ITIL and change management processes.
- Troubleshoot SCCM and JAMF distribution point issues.
- Manage hardware and software assets ensuring compliance with vendor contracts.
- Apply continuous improvement strategies for technology spending.
- Support IT infrastructure and finance projects.
- Direct help desk team members and provide frontline assistance for complex inquiries.
- Organize training for team members on best practices.
- Maintain records of help desk activities and present evaluations to management.
- Foster good working relationships within the help desk team.
- Develop strategies to address and prevent issues.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience with application imaging
- Motivated and lead a team to work occasionally requiring after hours emergency response
- Problem analysis and resolution
