The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. In this handson role you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle management of a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) supporting a critical Configuration Database application. This includes design implementation configuration sustainment security backup/recovery troubleshooting and performance optimization to ensure consistent availability and performance. You will leverage your strong technical database skills and excellent communication abilities to contribute to the success of missioncritical systems.

What Youll Bring
Demonstrated experience using the Linux Command Line Interface (CLI).
Proficiency in writing scripts using Bash and Python.
Minimum of 5 years of handson RDBMS administration experience.
Proven experience in the planning data modeling and development of database tables into usable database schemas.
Extensive experience developing complex RDBMS ad hoc queries Triggers and Stored Procedures for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Deep understanding and practical experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) utilizing native RDBMS monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of RDBMS backup and restore best practices.
Solid understanding of RDBMS High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) best practices.
Significant experience in troubleshooting and sustaining critical production RDBMS environments.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles concepts and tools including Ansible.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Desired Skills
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA Confluence).
Experience with Git Version Control.

Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or undercleared applicants will not receive a response).
