The Senior Officer Annual Giving is an integral member of the Relationship and Fund Development team and is responsible for raising funds to support student success with a focus on gifts up to $25000. This role oversees two primary portfolios: student financial awards (scholarships bursaries and leadership awards) and UFVs annual giving campaigns. Additionally the Senior Officer participates in strategic planning and generates a comprehensive annual business plan each fiscal year outlining budget goals KPIs and milestones.
Bachelors Degree in an applicable discipline (e.g. communications marketing) from a recognized postsecondary institution.
Minimum five 5 years fundraising experience with three 3 years direct experience in annual giving or working for a direct marketing agency. Postsecondary experience preferred.
Certified FundRaising Executive designation and/or Certificate in Direct Marketing preferred.
Advanced experience using Raisers Edge or related CRM system andMicrosoft Office.
Advanced knowledge and experience with data analytics data segmentation and reporting.
Experience working with external agencies on multichannel appeal and coordinating work of internal teams.
Experience developing implementing and monitoring annual business plans and budgets.
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines. Certificate in project management preferred.
Experience with project management tools (such as Wrike) is an asset.
Exceptional customer service and people skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to spelling and grammar.
Ability to address complex/sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
