Position Summary:
Join our dynamic team at Medeco Security Locks as a leader in our Operations department. We are looking for a committed leader to guide our 2nd shift Team Members in producing topquality security products that exceed our customers high standards. This role ensures a safe and efficient work environment while meeting all quality delivery inventory and cost metrics. Leadership provided by this position will help us maintain a competitive edge and exceed our customers expectations.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and support Team Members working in a highprecision CNC machining environment to ensure products meet the highest standards.
- Record approve and track time and attendance for Team Members.
- Partner with Operation Managers Area Managers and HR to make informed personnel decisions.
- Foster a positive employeecentric work environment. Cultivating teamwork within and among all teams at Medeco.
- Schedule and lead regular team meetings to review progress and business updates.
- Ensure team members are properly trained to perform their work assignments.
Operations and Production:
- Collaborate with Operation & Area Managers to ensure a seamless flow of products through the factory.
- Prioritize and advance orders to meet commit/promise dates.
- Ensure Medeco shipments meet and exceed our customers quality and delivery expectations.
- Achieve planned productivity and continuous improvement goals.
- Maintain a proactive approach to ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics to give visibility to factors impacting production.
- Continuous Improvement and Development:
- Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvements across the business.
- Support development and implementation of business plans including budget management and capital plans.
- Colead and support design development projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of production management experience preferred.
- Experience operating and managing machines preferred.
- Willing to accept responsibility and accountability for performance.
- Excellent teambuilding skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
