About the Client

Qubiqa Group is a Danish company with an 80year history of designing and manufacturing specialized machinery for a wide range of industries. The company embraces a strong Scandinavian culture which it integrates into its Polish branch.

Qubiqa A/S in Esbjerg and CH System in Naestved design and produce endofline equipment for various industries including insulation manufacturing and food processing. Their machines are delivered to customers worldwide.

Qubiqa Sp. z o.o. in Pia Poland manufactures and supplies conveyors switchboards and other smaller machines to the groups Danish divisions.

Job summary

Qubiqa is currently establishing a new programming hub in Katowice. In collaboration with our client we are looking for a PLC Team Leader to spearhead this initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Build lead and manage a team of 58 PLC engineers to deliver highquality automation solutions.

  • Ensure structured and effective approach to executing assigned projects.

  • Maintain a strong focus on meeting deadlines and tracking progress through structured planning.

  • Identify and openly communicate team limitations to ensure clear resource allocation.

  • Write technical descriptions for the equipment to be programmed.

  • Align with the electrical hardware team on control system requirements.

  • Develop program test and troubleshoot PLC systems to meet project specifications.

  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams (production maintenance and quality) to align automation systems with business objectives.

  • Ensure all PLC programs comply with industry standards safety regulations and company policies.

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of programs modifications and maintenance activities.

Job requirements

Key qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience: Preferably 25 years experience with PLC programming and preferably 23 years leadership experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    > Expertise in PLC programming languages (e.g. Ladder Logic Function Block Diagram).

    > Proficiency in popular PLC platforms (e.g. Siemens AllenBradley).

    > Experience with SCADA/HMI systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g. Modbus Profibus Ethernet/IP).

    > Knowledge of safety standards and machine automation principles.

  • Soft Skills:

    > Strong leadership and team management abilities.

    > Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.

    > Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    > Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

  • Additional requirements:

    > Willingness to travel to project sites up to 70 days per year

    > English skills on a high level both in verbally and in writing.
