- Hennepin Countys Information Technology department is seeking a Principal Office Specialist to support its IT Imaging Operations division.
Location and hours:This position is hybrid and will be performed both onsite at the Hennepin County Government Center 300 South 6th Street Minneapolis MN 55487 and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility. While this position is designated as hybrid based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

This position is internally classified as an Office Specialist Principal.

- Serve as lead worker monitoring and directing workflow of other staff.
- Train new and existing staff on unit policies procedures and tasks.
- Monitor daily workflows and acting as a subject matter expert.
- Solve and research missing documents; reindex and rescan requests.
- Review and update policies and procedures.
Need to have:- One of the following:
- Three or more years or more of office clerical experience.
- 30 months or more of office clerical experience and completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program.
- A combination of office clerical experience and post high school education totaling 3 years or more 3 semester credits 1 month).
- Experience:
- As a lead worker or directing daytoday tasks of others.
- With data validation.
- Using Microsoft Office Kofax ECF MAXIS MMIS and METS programs.
- Training staff on new department procedures.
- Providing customer service to internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of scanning software and hardware.
- Ability to:
- Conduct oneself professionally and handle sensitive issues in a clear and tactful manner.
- Recognize and respect cultural differences and maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
