Position: Simulation Analyst (Entry Level)
Location: Ramstein AFB Germany
Overview: Group W Inc. an employeeowned company is seeking a Simulation Analyst to perform analysis modeling and simulation of US military planning activities. The successful individual should be proficient with mission and engagementlevel models simulations and other operations research techniques. Requirements:
- Active DoD TopSecret clearance with SCI eligibility
- U.S. Citizenship and a valid U.S. passport
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university in computer science operations research systems engineering physics or related field
- 2 years of experience including experience with Python or other ObjectOriented Programming
Preferred:
- Experience performing constructive modeling and analysis using AFSIM or other models such as STORM EADSIM AMP/MIDAS or JFAST
- Prior military experience or analysis conducted at the theater or joint task force level conducting planning or performing operational assessments
- Familiarity with theater OPLANs and/or Defense Planning Scenarios
- Experience operating Unix/Linux operating systems
- Experience with JMP R SQL VBA Python C# Perl MATLAB and/or C
- Experience with Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM)
- Warfare analysts experience
- Expertise in a variety of mathematical statistical and computer science areas
Responsibilities:
- Employ indepth knowledge of modeling/operations research techniques to inform a variety of analyses and wargames
- Support preand postwargame analysis using AFSIM
- Perform modeling and simulation to support quantitative and qualitative analysis of conventional and unconventional theater operations
- Apply skills to solve highly complex problems using statistical analysis parametric and nonparametric analysis computer modeling simulation and regression analysis
- Serve as an analyst responsible for developing and executing analytical models and methods that support warfighting analyses at the engagement level
- Advise other operations research analysts scientists or engineers on techniques best suited for tasked problems
- Work independently and collaboratively on assessments supporting OPLAN CONPLAN capability trades systems trades force structure and Servicespecific studies
- Utilize analytic expertise in the creation presentation and publication of study reports and briefings
