Job Description
Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable hard working shipyard rigger/outside machinist to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston. Willing to train the right person. Medical and Dental benefits available 2 weeks vacation 401K FULL TIME position.
Work Schedule:
- MondayFriday 6:30am4:00pm
- Saturday 6:30am12:00pm
- Overtime available MondaySaturday
- Double time available Sunday
- Removing Shafts Rudders and Bearings
- Working from scissor and boom lifts
- Working in confined spaces with limited access througheighteen inch hatch
- Climbing ladders
- Heavy lifting
- Preemployment drug test
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Willing and able to workoutside year round and in all weather conditions
