As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the worldclass stateoftheart smart vehicles were known for. In our plants around the world were constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. Youll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

In this position...

The chosen candidate will engage with dealers trucking companies (carhaul carriers) railroads ocean carriers yard operators as well as with crossfunctional teams (i.e. product development marketing and sales legal) to provide damagefree vehicles to there final destinations. This position is also responsible for hitting KPIs like cost efficiency and decreasing vehicle idle time. To deliver on the goal of becoming a leader in damagefree delivery this candidate will focus on projects and establishing measurable goals to achieve and monitor desired outcomes.



Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Meet and exceed NAVL Quality objectives by facilitating improving and implementing actions that will reduce transportation damage and dwell within the vehicle shipping process.
  • Quick analytical abilities to rapidly resolve issues as they arise.
  • Draw logical conclusions from data that is presented or have the ability to challenge the data and make necessary adjustments to ensure decisions and action plans will lead to desired results.
  • Maintain & improve upon relationships between Ford and our finished vehicle logistics carrier partners to deliver bestinclass quality.
  • Devise and implement improvements in the overall intransit repair (ITR) process for exception units
  • Perform load tests as required for future model vehicles and other key model changes on rail and/or carhaul to clearly document & define any potential concerns that could impact the ability to ship the unit damagefree.
  • Leverage Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard to identify where action is needed to significantly improve Fords damagefree delivery performance and have critical conversations with carriers as necessary.
  • Engage with Plant Quality and Production teams to cutoff repetitive exceptions that are flowing through the release gate.
  • Create monitor and maintain various Purchase Orders necessary to support functions for this section.
  • Utilization of automated vehicle inspection systems and maintenance of projects surrounding this space.
  • Lead and establish quality reviews with carriers as necessary.
  • Attend as required various industry conferences (AAR AIAG etc.
  • Travel (minimal) as required to support various projects or activities. Travel is predominantly to Ford plant location areas but may also extend to destination locations.
  • Support direct communication to dealers from generic department mailbox.
  • Drive leadership within the Quality & Claims space of the industry.
  • Disposition of nonsaleable as new (NSAN) units.
  • Manage necessary reinvoicing tasks as required
  • Engage and provide direction as needed with 3rd party claims management firm


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3 Years of Materials/Planning & Logistics experience .

Even better you may have...

  • Bachelors of Business Administration with a focus in Supply Chain management
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions with limited supervision required.
  • Ability to lead crossfunctional groups to resolve concerns
  • Excellent writing oral and presentation abilities to communicate with Ford leadership suppliers and other 3rd parties.
  • High level of analytical skills with a history of leveraging data managing a project to deliver a solution and validating that the action was successful towards delivering the desired outcome.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks on any given day
  • Ability to manage competing objectives and instantly triage problems as they arise.
  • Proficient in the use of Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in logistics quality preferred
  • Familiarity with tools such as Business Objects and Alteryx
