Job Description

Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is a coed independent JK to Grade 12 International Baccalaureate and Round Square day and boarding school located on two campuses in Victoria BC Canada. Our school provides an exceptional educational experience for students from age three to Grade 12 that focuses on providing robust academics promoting healthy social and emotional development and utilizing studentcentred inquirybased learning within a supportive community. Admissions and Boarding Coordinator

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Enrolment Management the Admissions and Boarding Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the overall success of the family boarding program within the GNS community. This position will manage and administer the family boarding program support the integration of all boarding students into the GNS community and support Admissions with recruitment and retention initiatives. This role relies on building and maintaining engaging and positive relationships with students host and home families and school personnel. The incumbent requires sound and reliable judgment as all decisions affect students hosts and ultimately GNSs agent relationships and reputation both locally and internationally For a more detailed description of duties please visit this link.


What Youll Bring

You will hold a bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Cultural Studies International Relations or a related field along with a minimum of four years experience working in a crosscultural environment preferably within education admissions or community programs. Experience with boarding or homestay coordinator international student services and a highvolume administrative support will be strong assets. The successful candidate will be empathetic responsive and skilled at fostering trustbased partnerships with external stakeholders including agents and families from diverse backgrounds. You will bring excellent organizational and problemsolving skills clear and effective communication and a high level of professionalism when managing sensitive situations. Flexibility to attend evening/weekend events and travel domestically or internationally is required. A second language and experience living or working abroad would be considered valuable additions. Access to your own vehicle and a valid BC Drivers license are required.
