Summary Statement

Theprincipal responsibility of the Technology Senior Manager for EnterpriseDesktop/LAN (EDL) is to ensure enduser satisfaction by delivering high qualityIT services and support as well as the resolution of hardware/software issuesin a timely and efficient manner. This role also provides leadership andmentors to 5 EDL Technology Managers each supervising a team of up to 12subordinates. This includes establishing and monitoring work assignmentstraining providing coaching/mentoring setting performance goals evaluatingperformance providing feedback and discipline.

Theincumbent in this role provides supervision to all 6 EDL campuses to providesupport across the State. The Technology Senior Manager EDL and each member ofthe teams they manage also participates in a weekly rotation of After HoursOnCall support for all ITC agencies as well as participates in various EDLEngineering projects and other IT related projects.

The TechnologySenior Manager will report to the End User Services Team Director.

Selective Requirement

Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified.

  • Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualification

Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification willstill be eligible to compete for this position if the job requirements are met.

  • Possess a bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Security Telecommunications Networks an I/T discipline or a related field.
  • Possess certifications in Comp TIA A Comp TIA Network MCSA MCSE CCNA or a comparable certification.
  • Possess a minimum of two years experience managing IT Teams responsible for hardware lifecycle management and enduser support.
  • Possess a minimum of two years experience participating in or leading enterprisescale IT projects involving multiple agencies or departments.
  • Possess a minimum of two years experience overseeing afterhours or 24/7 support operations.
  • Possess training or previous experience in Project Management and Life Cycle Development processes.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Technology Senior Manager

Applicants must have education training and/or experiencedemonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Possess a minimum of five years of management experience with a minimum of three years in Information Technology in a supervisory/management position.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of technical experience providing enduser support for hardware/software deployments maintenance/repairs of computing devices phones and other enduserperipheralsand basic systemadministration tasks.
  • Possessa minimum of three years of experience analyzing and deciding among alternative solutions to current and anticipated IT needs with emphasis on identifying creative solutions to IT problems within applicable constraints.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of experience in project leadership including defining evaluating leading tracking and reporting on complex multiresource projects.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of experience working with customers key partners and leading crossfunctional teams.
  • Possess strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills including the ability tocommunicateeffectively with technicians customers other IT managers and senior IT management.
