Please review the following job description:

This role provides support consultation and credit decisions for the Retail Community Banks lending staff. Provides guidance to bankers and their leadership related to bank policies and underwriting processes to ensure consistency in of the Banks defined retail lending process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Review evaluate and decision credit applications for Consumer credit requests.
2. Provide assistance and direction to Retail lenders regarding lending policies procedures processes loan structure and pricing.
3. Maintain complete comprehension of the Banks Consumer lending credit policies to ensure fair and appropriate lending decisions are granted.
4. Document and explain justification for all credit exceptions granted.
5. Make recommendations to management on loan requests that pose higher credit risk and are outside individual lending authority.
6. Provide senior management with specific feedback on issues and suggestions related to the loan process to help improve service to clients.
7. Responsible for timely decisions on all Consumer credit applications.
8. Work in partnership with Retail Loan Fulfillment to complete the loan process and resolve problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Threeplus years of experience in branch lending or other lending related administrative areas or equivalent education and related training
2. Basic knowledge of income verification via paystubs tax returns analysis etc.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills
4. Good analytical and problem solving ability
5. Basic PC skills

6. Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment in this role including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check which includes meeting applicable financial responsibility character credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Graduate of Bank Leadership Development Program
2. Spreadsheet and word processing application experience
3. Knowledge of Bank operations systems compliance and regulatory issue
