Work requires constant travel with company car and home office. Each employee is responsible for working in a safe manner.
Job Summary
Interviews patients who are underinsured and determines which agencies will provide financial assistance with the patients hospital and medical bills. Assists the patient through the application process and follows up to make sure that the patient completes the application in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
- Reviews referrals and obtains travel directions.
- Interview patient or obtain information at home in jail at homeless shelter etc. and/or transports patient to doctors appointments hearings DSS offices etc. as needed.
- Collects all patient demographic and financial information to complete financial statement.
- Obtains verification of patient information. Completes and opens applications for patients.
