You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are looking for an Engineering Manager ready to drive change and delivery.
This position offers a great opportunity to take the delivery lead on a number of components and functions. You would be managing 2 engineering teams (up to 20 people altogether) that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous highimpact area.
We are looking for ambitious independent structured and engaged leader with a solid leadership background tech mindset and business acumen.
As an Engineering Manager you will be accountable for the team regarding efficient delivery and people management. You will achieve it in close collaboration with the product function other tech leaders and architects.
You will play a key role in developing and growing our flagship product (Setmore)as well as help shaping our NextGen engineering culture. Setmore is a scheduling softwarewith thousands of users and millions ofscheduled appointments each month.
Roles and responsibilities
Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field
At least 3 years in similar role managing more than 1 engineering team
At least 5 years experience in people management
At least 10 years handson software engineering work experience including technical management building software solutions API design and integrations
Strong working knowledge of BackEnd technologies including Java 17 Spring Boot RESTEasy NodeJS Express SQL NoSQL Redis; and FrontEnd technologies including React TypeScript Redux Webpack and Micro Frontends.
Experience working in complex environment with many interdependencies
Experience with solution architecture and cloud technology
Experience with making sound code quality vs speed of development tradeoff and understanding the consequences for the product and business
Experience developing processes setting up standards and engineering good practices as well as removing hurdles to facilitate great and fast
Curiosity and desire to continuously learn

Experience with agile tooling (Jira Confluence etc.
Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams including performance management
Experience in mentoring and training less experienced colleagues
Experience with multicultural teams and organisations
Great communication skills ability to connect easily with the team members other managers product managers and stakeholders and understanding overcommunication is better then no communication
Being comfortable managing team members with different skillsets from your own and with better skills than your own
Excellent communication skills with C1 English language proficiency level as a minimum and ability to clearly communicate and discuss ideas & concepts
Knowledge of booking/ scheduling domain or experience working on related products
Working experience in SaaS products
Experience in building product from scratch
