Our client is looking to hire a Structural Steel & Fabrication Estimator/Project Manager for their location in Mentor Ohio! Our client is a national leader in high quality welding fabricating and Maintenance solutions for a wide variety of clients.
The Structural Steel & Fabrication Estimator/Project Manager would be responsible for assigning projects coordinating and prepping quotes review customers AutoCAD drawings develop manufacturing plans be infront of customers and manage expectations.
Qualified candidates need to have experience in Structural Steel Estimating and Shop Floor knowledge pertaining to welding.
Job Responsibilities:
Daily ownership of assigned projects from creation to completion estimating manufacturing plan creation and management materials management and management of customer.
Coordinates Gathering information for and preparing quotes. This could range from a phone call to the customer up to going to visit the site and take measurements.
Get pricing from vendors as well as lead times at the quote at the quote/job stage.
Collaboration with vendors shop and customers on development of timeline for project.
Project kickoff including creation of routers to be released to the shop floor.
Regular periodic reporting of project status.
Procurement of materials.
Review of customer supplied AutoCAD drawings Evaluate for completeness as well as development of shop drawings for fabrication & erection drawings for field installation.
Development of manufacturing plan in collaboration with shop field and technical resources.
Interpretation of customer and project specifications.
Work independently or as part of a team and make sound decisions develop plans and solve welding fabrication challenges.

Full Time Position Overtime Required when Necessary.
Strong organizational skills required when managing multiple jobs at one time.
At least 5 years of experience with Structural Steel i.e.: platforms stairways etc.
Experience using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software for print and model generation.
